School Health

The elementary schools and Wakulla Middle are staffed with Health Support Aides.  Riversprings Middle has a LPN on staff, and the high school has a full service health clinic with a RN and an ARNP who rotate days.  There is one registered nurse who is responsible for all school health coordination.
   


School Health services may include:

  • Nursing Assessment and first aid for illness or injury
  • Control of communicable disease
  • Review and daily administration of medication
  • Review of immunization compliance and health status of new enrollees
  • Monitoring of students with chronic disease and development of individual care plans
  • Health Education for students, faculty and staff
  • Licensed Clincial Social Worker who provides social services and mental health counseling services to middle and high school students
  • Dental services are available by referral
