The Community Health
Education and Promotion Program aims to educate the community
about the services available at the Wakulla County Health
Department, and to provide accurate information about public
health issues, recommended prevention strategies and provide
programs and resources to individuals and the community to
prevent disease and promote healthy lifestyles. Kim Tucker
is our health educator and is working to promote the following
in Wakulla County:
Community and Worksite Wellness
Congregational Partners Health Education
Assessment of community health status
Client and community needs assessments
Community outreach and coalition building
Community mobilization and organization
Assurance that public health needs are met
We
offer technical assistance and education to individual and
groups, in order to promote and improve the health and safety of
our community. Kim is available to attend group meetings,
health fairs, school functions and assist students looking for
health related information.
All requests for information should be made at least 3-4 weeks
in advance. |
